Review

An ultra-paranoid murder suspect videotapes himself around the clock so he'll have a rock-solid alibi if he's ever accused of another crime. But the one tape that could prove his innocence of a new murder mysteriously disappears and he's forced to go on the run to fabricate the evidence of the missing hours...

Freeze Frame is the feature film debut of writer-director John Simpson and producer Michael Casey. Conceptually original and virtually distinctive, it is a fast-moving, contemporary thriller with a deep and disturbing resonance for the paranoid world in which we currently find ourselves. As Sean Veil, a man immersed in a paranoid nightmare from which there seems to be no escape, Lee Evans gives a genuinely stunning, career-changing performance. He proves, indisputably, that his talent extends far beyond the confines of comedy.

lee is great at playing this character although you can take him serious i found him unsuspectingly funny at times, the film plot isn't bad either.

Ok film. Lee is great playing serious.
The other actors are the usual suspects in most British films. And do the usual ho-hum job.
This is Lee's most serious part but I think he is still alot better in his other serious film with Cathy Burke. I forget the title...

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Interesting...alternative...original!

Another fine performance from Evans, this time playing out a much more dark role than in previous films. But he pulls it off and gives us an absorbing portrayal as a man in an unenviable position. As we know from his stand ups his life hasn't been quite normal and so I think he was born for this type of character. Bravo Mr Evans, is there no limit to your talents? A steal at the price. Enjoy.
