3 YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!SECTION8 | 17/06/2008 | See all SECTION8's reviews (1336)Top 10 Reviewer Top 10 DVD Reviewer This film pre-dates the Blair witch project by over 20 years, with it's hand held camcorder / home movie feel. The film was banned in the 80's due to the prudes like the kill- joy Mary Whitehouse, and branded as a video nasty. The film lived on with terrible pirate video copies, until it finaly got past for re-release a few years back, with several cuts to the violence, including animal cruelty. So now it's time to have another look at one of the most notoriouse horror films ever! The film is dubbed, with the lips moving out of sync with the words. This makes the acting very poor. The violence although now edited is still strong and is set for some uncomfortable viewing. Also the film feels very, very dated. But it's the final scenes in the film that hit hard, and really disturb, and is very hard to shake off after watching. The film may not be the ultimate in terror. but it's still one of the best of it's kind. It's not subtle, but it does hit hard. It's still bloody good!
