If you like time travel, then this is not to be missed. The 1st two seasons are well presented and well acted and a joy to watch. Its a shame the series disapeared to early. The dvd is well worth getting if you enjoy scifi and good time travel.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars One of the best series ever.

It had been years since i watched sliders on TV and when i saw the DVD's at this price i thought i would give them a try. All i can say is that this series is awesome, i love the concept of the show with paralel worlds and the cast is great. OK so it doesnt have the biggest budget in the word but that doesnt matter the only time that you really notice that is the episode with the dinosaurs. If you like Sci Fi i would say deffinately get this, you wont regret it.

It is good science fiction. Unfortunately it was clearly made on a very very short budget. Also it starts well enough with the kind of 'what if' episodes, like what if the soviets had won the cold war, but later degrades with half-mystical non-sensical stories that are simply boring. Still recommended, especially the first two seasons.

Sliders was not just another sci-fi show; it was one that not only entertained but made people think about the "what if?" questions in life.

The show followed the adventures of student Quinn Mallory, friend Wade, his lecturer Professor Arturo and soul singer Rembrandt Brown after they ended up 'sliding' from dimension to dimesion after getting sucked into an alternative dimension created by Quinn. Although the special effects might not be ground-breaking the excellent storylines more than make up for it. Some worlds they visit involve America being controlled by Russia after they lost the Cold War, and a female orientated world where men are considered the weaker sex. It's stories like this which made every episode so entertaining and easy to watch.

The boxset has 23 episodes (seasons 1 & 2) which are just over 17 hours long making it good value for money.

A recommended classic sci-fi!
