A big-budget Hollywood star power remake of the Hong Kong classic crime thriller Infernal Affairs.

Rating 8/10. Good film - definitely not on par with the classics (Goodfella's etc) but good all the same.
Excellent mob movie

An excellent mob movie inspired by movies like "Donnie Brasco" and the hong kong movie "Internal Affairs". Leornardo De Caprio's best movie and Matt Damons second best movie after the Bourne movies. Jack Nicholson gives an outstanding performance as mob boss Frank Costello. Matt Damons best performance as a villain. As stated by critics this movie is Martin Scorseses finest movie since the Goodfellas. A very good movie and a definite buy. This is in the same league as Scorseses classic movies "Goodfellas" and "Casino". Buy this movie and watch it. Trust me you wont be disappointed.
Quite simply breathtaking...

This is without doubt one of my all time favourite films. The story plays out dramatically and as the film gathers speed towards the cilmax, the tension is phenomenal. The Departed, for me, was one of those rare films which leaves you with a series of simple and sharp images in your mind alluding to the underlying allegory of the film. The shocking final 20 minutes were gripping and gritty, and the poignancy of the silence at the end was so hard hitting. Putting it simply your conscience is in turmoil, I didn't know who I was rooting for and was constantly changing my mind, as were the characters in the film. This is a true Scorsese classic and something everybody should treat themselves to, especially considering the fantastic, giveaway price on offer.
