Not by far but this is better than Shaun Of the Dead, but on the other hand it's not as gory. I got board after Shaun Of The Dead after 2 years but i dont think i'll ever get board if this. In my opinion the story line is better as well. Still " Dirty Harry" will always the the umtimate movie. Shaun of the dead is still good but i just think this has a better story line, more daft and one heck of an end movie gun fight. 5 Stars *****

What a wackily good film!! The plot at times is so wacky that it makes it hilarious! There are some gob-smacking moments where it all seems outrageous, but as I said, thats wat makes it funny coz it is so out there!!
Bill Bailey is really funny (2 of him is twice the fun) and its cool how a lot of the actors run in the same circle and are mates, for example Bill is in Black Books with another of Peggs Pals, Dylan Moran (love him) was in Run FatBoy Run with Simon and Bill is in this! Mix and match!
This film has some really histerical moments, like the ketchup/fork in the eye, all the gun fire near the end as if they are in some action film, the old grannies with guns hidden in their hampers, gory deaths that are like 'OUCH!' then *cringe* and that guy with his jaw inpailed on the spike near the end........EEK!! and the scary character looks like the grim reaper or somethin out of Scream, lol!
Loads of cameo's from actors like Steve Coogan (yay! TG fan!), Bill Nighy, Steven Merchant, that guy from Shameless, the girl who was in the first series of Doc Martin (the old receptionist) and a few more pals of Simon Pegg's, including Martin Freeman.
One of the things that did run true is the fact that when coppers, or 'The Fuzz', upgrade their cars from Vauxhall Astra's they do seem to go for Subaru Impreza's!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars 1 of my favourite films!

Almost perfect, but not quite there.
Everyone that worked on this piece should be proud of the achievement, they did brilliantly.
Bill Bailey in particular was hilarious, just like he is as a comedian.
It was just his small fast paced simple jokes that get you laughing.
The reason I didn't quite give it a perfect five stars was because I hate cheesy movies, and in places this was rather cheesy.
Especially at the end. People who seen it will know what I mean, and when you buy this, you will know what I mean.
Even though it's cheesy in places, YOU WILL BUY IT!

Hot Fuzz indeed! The Third instalment from the comedy trio (pegg, frost, wright) delivers an all-round excellent film! Watching this film I was not disappointed by the original storyline and the unsuspecting turns that occurred, such as Angel being 'stabbed', in the idyllic town of Wells. The direction from Edgar Wright was fantastic, using the ever popular formula for success of constant movie references, recurring buzz lines and the hilarious on-screen chemistry between Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
The film ends in an all-out shoot 'em up carnage as the horse back riding lone ranger of the north, Angel, comes back into town, donning full MET police uniform complete with shotgun butt wings.
Hot Fuzz is a superbly crafted film that will not disappoint but be enjoyed by all.

As a huge fan of Spaced when it aired in the UK and Shaun of the Dead instantly leaping into my Top 10 Movies of all time, I think it would be fair to say my anticipation of Hot Fuzz was pretty high.

The film opens with a blisteringly quick - and brilliant - montage of sequences showcasing the quality of city cop Nicholas Angel's policing skills. He soon finds himself relocated to a small village because he's making the rest of the force "look bad" and it's at this point that the movie kicks in.

For those of us who love the comedy tag-team that is Pegg & Frost, Hot Fuzz is an absolute dream. There are so many quotes destined for greatness and featuring some wonderful cameos from the cream of cult British talent - look out for Steve Coogan, Martin Freeman & Bill Nighy as Angel's police peers. Fans of Big Train & Jam will spot Kevin Eldon straight away, and Bill Bailey also has a wonderful role.

Hot Fuzz has got a bit of everything - for fans of Spaced & Shaun, you'll eat this up and the laughs are plentiful and brilliant. The only disappointment was the absence of a Jessica Stephenson cameo.

Action junkies will get kicks out of the many in-jokes and references and there's even a couple of inventive death scenes for the gore-hounds out there.

Highly recommended.

pure genius. pegg and co are fantastic. very funny, a film you can watch over again.

i only wish more film makers would make films in this country like this one, stop making period peices and gangter films. hot fuzz reminds me of the old school ealing films, i look forward to the next simon pegg film.

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars Not bad!

I saw this film with excitement which was slightly put to bed! It was very entertaining throughout parts but obviously it's meant to be a playful and sarcastic film! Not bad though and I probably would watch again.
