Martin Sheen plays Tom, an American doctor who comes to France to collect the remains of his adult son (played by real-life son Emilio Estevez), killed in the Pyrenees while walking The Camino de Santiago, or 'The Way of St James'. Driven by a profound sadness, and desire to understand his son better, Tom decides to embark on the historical pilgrimage, leaving his old life in California behind.

Armed with his son's backpack and guidebook, Tom navigates his journey along the 800km pilgrimage, but soon meets others from around the world, all looking for greater meaning in their lives.

Moving film with a great back drop of Northern Spain. Acted with great feeling by entire cast. Who decides to sidetrack such good films.

 Stunning in all respects.

This is an awesome and inspiring film by Emilio Estevez. Have always been a fan of his since 'Young guns' when I was younger and its great to see him perform in and direct such a mature and thoughtful film.

A deep film, with superb actors and superb setting. Makes me want to walk the camino de santiago. A must see film.

In a year of soulless blockbusters you must find 'The Way'

Watch this and feel the pain and redemption of the Martin Sheen Character in this film. A bit like 'The Straight story' a few years back. Well done Emilio.Top Marks!!

The best movie since INTO THE WILD

The Way is awesome, a movie that will inspire everyone to get out there and do the one thing they've always wanted to! Sheen plays Dr Tom brilliantly and Emilio Estevez's director skills are on show from start to finish. Please buy this dvd and enjoy!

The best film I have seen in many years. The Four central characters were each individually brilliant,as was Emillio Estevez's input in the writing and direction . An emotionally brilliant film. a must for every collection.
