 Nothing dead about it

This emotionally resonant drama from sensitive director Peter Weir may fit within the confines of the Inspiring Teacher genre but earns enough extra grades thanks to its innate grace. Williams as the new English teacher at an elite school in 1959 is partly charismatic but also has a slight air of mystery about him, leaving the director to concentrate on the evolving dynamics of the young students. It also looks beautiful, building to a climax that is as inspiring as what teacher Keating was trying to impart to his pupils.

 Perfect in every way!!

I think this is one of those films that everyone should watch, it has everything you could ever need!! People of all ages can enjoy it and should!! It is amazing from every aspect you look at it from and I just wish that I had more teachers that could inspire me as much as in this film! If teachers were like this now I'd go back and do my schooling years all over again! 5* film to match the 5* casting!!

 Once A Good Film

Noooooo! This has aged horribly! To get the best out of it, you now have to put on your 80s hat to take it seriously. Shame really, but this is the same problem with certain other "Classics." It's not a bad story, just a bit cliched and, well, boring to be honest. Good Will Hunting and The Green Mile are much better.

 sad and uplifting

It is a very different film without a huge budget the film is a drama that is very different with it being set in a boys boarding school. It does get a bit emotional and sad but the film did'nt have that much to go on,at the same time it has uplifting moments and good acting if thats anything to go by.

Another good film that has a brilliant actor. For some strange reason it kept me hooked along the way & had a fairly good, but not magnificent story line.

 One of my favourite films

Visually beautiful with great performances from all the actors. especially those who play the pupils. I highly recommend this film. It's inspirational and moving. Brim full of emotion and laughs. You don't need to like poetry to like the film, but it helps.

A must see, not only for Robin Williams fans but for those who love a good movie that when you are through watching it you will definitely want to watch it again. I watched it years ago and it certainly was not rubbish.
