Accurate Enough

Although some facts are overlooked this is close enough to the bone. Played brilliantly by Neeson, Collins Brash style is conveyed wih vigour against the subtle scheming of Alan Rickman's De Valera. Summed up by the moment Collins arrives late at Dublin Castle for the hand over of power by the pompous Brits "Your 15 Minutes late, Mr. Collins" - "You've kept us waiting for hundred's of years, so you can have your 15 minutes". Oh Croke Park and Shane Horgan how we laughed.........
Historically inaccurate but good nonetheless

The film "Michael Collins" was highly praised by Irish film reviewers and rightly so, it shows the struggle of the Irish Catholics to gain independence from Britain from 1916 onwards. However, whilst it is a good film to watch, it does also contain some historical flaws.
If one is to overlook these flaws however, it's a definite must see for all people. I've seen it several times now, and it never gets old and certainly worth the £7.
