Season 4 of True Blood continues the series long tradition of mixing lots of blood, sweat and sex with crazy storylines and lots and lots of cliffhangers along the way.
I do feel though, that this has definitely been the show's weakest season in overall terms. Although the show jumps about 18 months in the characters lives at the start the fact the show has SO many characters all vying for time really means that there are too many storylines going on and some of them get a bit OTT even by the standards of True Blood. The show does however whittle some of those numbers down and the cast are all great, especially newcomer to the show Fiona Shaw as Marnie, the leader of the witches coven who is the main bad for the year. But the high trashiness (in a good way) tone of the show remains and it's still a fun ride with the usual multiple cliffhangers for Season 5 left in the finale.
Extras are mostly commentary, with 6 on offer (none of which you will ever need to do more than once really) and some behind the scenes material specific to each episode. Fairly typical for a True Blood boxset really.
