But fortunately a great movie :)
This is not a re-release of the original edition by "The Rank Collection', which was a dual sided DVD-10, with 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen.
Now it's the same disc as in the "Kenneth More Collection", which means it's now a DVD-8 (positive), 1.66:1 (positive, since that's the OAR), but it's NON-ANAMORPHIC widescreen (which is absolutely a drawback in these times of omnipresence of widescreen television sets).
Absolutely Astonishing

This was the very first dvd i bought when replacing my vhs collection.
Even though you know the story and how it ends there is no denying that the tension built up is superb. I still recall my very first viewing of this film and how I experienced different emotions as i watched. It totally gripped me. A Masterpiece of British talent and Filmmaking . Highly Recommended.
