Three films for a book of less than one of the LOTR trilogy books! Sorry Mr Jackson, great films but the film studios are ripping us off.

An exciting and well made film with some amazing effects. A slightly more child friendly approach than the previous films. The film is quite long and there a lot of close encounters but this is a fun journey. Well worth a watch.

I never actually saw this in the cinema, but heared mixed reviews and especially complains of the 3D being blurred. At first I thought the complaints were right, as the film does take a while to get going, but then again so did Fellowship of the Rings. The comedy elements at the start grated a little, but once the band leave the Shire the film really does take hold and again you know you are back in Middle Earth again. Martin Freeman is a reverlation as Bilbo. Again the film is full of narrow escapes great creatures and a fantastic music score that echo's the original trilogy leaving goosebumps. Familiar faces come back in, including Christopher Lee's reprises his role but best of all Gollum. The locations as you would expect are beautiful. This version of the film is not perfect ( but when you look at the Lord of the Rings trilogy that did have it's faults also ) The imperfections could be put down to cuts for running time that will no doubt be re-inserted when the extended cut comes out, that again we'll all be shelling out for, but even so this first part of the Hobbit trilogy is definatly as good as what has come before and leaves us gagging for parts 2 and 3.
See If You Like.....
The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy.
Chronicles Of Narnia.
Clash / Wrath Of the Titans.
King Kong 2005 Remake.
