Is an adaptation of Willy Russell's play Stags and Hens in which a group of girls and local lads venture out for a night of pre-marriage stag and hen party celebrations. Ironically, both sexes end up partying at the same Liverpool disco, Brancky's.

Linda, the bride-to-be (Claire Hackett), runs into her old boyfriend, Peter (Con O'Neill), on the eve of her wedding to her fiancee, Dave (Conrad Nelson), Peter, a musician with a single climbing up the pop charts, performs a concert at Bransky's.

Whilst entering the club, Dave, in a drunken stupor, becomes ill from the indian curry he ate previously and spends the remainder of the evening crawling around the men's lavatory floor.

His mates, including Kas, (Simon O'Brien of Brookside fame [British TV soap]) and gang leader Eddie (Mark Womack) decide to take the law into their own hands when they discover Linda has developed a crush on Peter and has second thoughts about marrying Dave.

OMG - i have waited years for this film to come out on DVD - my mum taped it years ago when it was on TV - and it became a favourite of both of ours. If you like Willy Russell you will love this film. Well worth owning this. Great film and great soundtrack.

yay! i love this film, been waiting ages for a dvd release

I absolutely love everything about this film. It's so funny, so entertaining and the 80s music is just fab. Like everyone else only ever had this on my own recorded video off the telly and am chuffed it's eventually been released. There are too many classic moments to mention - wholemeal pizza, con o'neill, the little madonna one, the lycra outfits... in short a slice of pure 80s wonderfulness...don't be a philistine, watch this :-)

 Still a great film

I bought this for my 18 year old having been 18 myself when the film was set. She loved it! And so did I. If you love Willy Russell films give this a watch or just want to be whisked back to the end of the 80s - it certainly takes me back to my white stilettos and lambrusco fueled nights out. Memories!!!!

 Worth the wait

I can remember watching this on the tv then 'fell upon' the video by chance & had to have it. Also bought the soundtrack on 'tape'. Both still stashed away somewhere at my Mum & Dad's but haven't watched or listened to either for years, but I can remember loving it. Will definitely be buying this, would like the soundtrack to come out now on CD.
