  Good but not the best

I love Supernatural and have been with the show from the beginning but I found this series to be lacking something (hence the 4 stars)

The only major problem I have with this is I am missing the anime feature? anyone else having this problem?

Six seasons in and Supernatural is still going strong!

After Eric Kripke's five year plan for Supernatural was finally carried out, I was more than a little curious to see where Supernatural's new showrunner would go with season 6. But this season just goes to show that Supernatural is still one of the best programs on television!

There are a few bumps along the way but for the most part, this season is a highly enjoyable thrill ride that is full of unexpected twists and turns, scary monsters and plenty of brotherly love. It has everything anyone could want in a show and it all leads up to one hell of a season finale to leave you eager for Season 7.

The DVD boxset itself is packed with plenty of extras including the unmissable gag reel, episode commentaries and behind the scenes featurettes including a special on Jensen Ackles' directorial debut which is something every fan should see.

All in all, this boxset has everything you could want to keep you entertained for hours with one of the best TV shows ever made! So bring on season 7, I say!

Trust Me Stick With It, It Gets Better!

I have to say this has not been my favourite season out of the 6. It does start off slow, but what must be remembered is that a 5 year story came to an end and this is the beginning of a new chapter. This season does pick up pace and by the middle of the season it is full flow. Even though the first half of the season is not up to normal Supernatural standard, trust me, you will want to stick with it for the amazing second half and ending.
The brilliant episodes far out weigh the not so good episodes and the dynamics of the brothers relationship and the relationship with a certain angel has altered, but it makes for captivating viewing. Having seen what is to come in season 7, this season is a great way bring new threats to Sam and Dean and it also tests their strength and resolve.
There is no shadow of a doubt in my mind that Supernatural is one of the best television shows of the 21st century and could probably give the likes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer (of which i am a huge fan of) a run for its money.
Plus who doesn't like watching two incredibly good looking brothers, an angel with stunning blue eye and the sarcastic father figure, running around the USA killing all the nasties that go bump in the night?

  Still Going Strong

Original showrunner Eric Kripke only ever intended for Supernatural to run for five seasons and, having now handed over duties, his absence is certainly felt on occasions during the shows latest run. With plenty of twists and turns throughout existing fans will of course still find plenty to enjoy here but there are probably more episodes that miss the mark in season six than the other five seasons combined. When Supernatural does hit the mark however, such as in episodes like 'Weekend at Bobby's', it continues to provide a fantastic mix of sci-fi, action and comedy that few other shows can match and the thrilling conclusion certainly leaves plenty of scope for the now confirmed seventh year.

  supernatural series 6

Oh my goodness this is by far the best series yet. There are so many twists and turns you don't know where you're going. You think the good guys are bad and the bad guys are good then it switches over and over again. Even Sam and Dean turn a bit naughty now and then. Even at double the price it's worth it (well maybe not) If ever a series needed a sequel this is it. Thank goodness they're doing one.
