This is the movie that put Tim Burton on the map.
Now 20 years later the film is still as fresh, funny and bizzare as it was back in 1988. The film sets still impress, and the Ghostly waiting room sequence is still amazing. Alec Baldwin and Gena Davis are a little bland as the recently departed couple, but all this is forgiven when Michael Keaton burst's onto the screen as the Bio-Exorcist, my main gripe is he does not have enough screen time,but while Keaton is on screen he is a riot, and shows what a brilliant and very underrated actor he is. The film also boast a great music score by Burton regular Danny Elfman. But the most shocking thing about the film is that it still carries a 15 certificate. This was given twenty years ago when if there was a single "F" word (as is the case with this film) the movie, no matter what the content would be restricted. The film certificate now should be lowered to a 12 or even a PG, so that is can be open to a wider audiance.

This is a fantastic bizzare family fantasy, take no notice of the stupid 15 certificate, as there is nothing in the film that will offend or disturb the younger viewer.
After over twenty years Beetlejuice still is "The Ghost With The Most!"
