It's good, it's not great.

It has structural and pacing problems, the bad guys plan is confusing and the whole 'Rising' aspect happens twice to pad out the runtime and that's really annoying.

I don't want to come down too hard on this movie because I honestly did enjoy it. I was just underwhelmed. But the good stuff is still good; the acting is top notch, action scenes are jaw dropping, the ending and climax is Oscar worthy and the music is some of Hans Zimmer's best work, which is saying a lot.

Should you buy it? In the words of Bane: "Of course". I mean you can't buy the other two and not buy this one, it wouldnt feel right. Just don't get too hyped for it. You most likely will but I can't stop you or won't try.

All in all, good movie and hugely enjoyable.

As a stand alone movie its fine but as part of what could have been a classic trilogy -its painfully disappointing! Overblown and destroys itself with such an awful ending thats been done a million times before-its hard to know what to say. Maybe expectations were built up way too much but to end it the way they did is unforgiveable!

  Dark Knight Sinking

This film was a real let-down for me. Totally lacking any personable characters that the 1st two had. I really didnt see how the Catwoman character enhanced the story in any way whatsoever. Shockingly wooden performances and overall a very flat film. I have watched it twice now just incase I missed something and can honestly say that I have wasted my time twice now. Wait a few months for the dvd price to come down before buying and then make your own mind up without worrying that you have wasted more money than it was worth.

  Go watch dark knight instead...

This is acceptable, anyone claiming it to be an 'epic masterpiece' is clearly in denial . The second film was the peak, this is just cheesey, predictable and bad.
If you only saw this film it would pass for entertainment (hence 3 stars) but as part of a trilogy, it just wrecked it.
I'd of course reccomend you go see it for yourself, but at least be honest with yourself afterwards.

i was absolutely blown away by this film. Tom hardy was by far the stand out performance in an already amazing cast, his presence on screen was actually scary and the sound of his voice made it even more sinister. i disagree with all the bad press about banes voice, i understood every word and if anyone didn't they must be deaf! some really nice twists in the movie that nobody saw coming. i loved the inclusion of Robin at the end. everyone in the cinema went nuts when it was revealed who was robin. a nice cameo from scarecrow too, i wonder if heath ledger had still been alive whether he would have had a cameo in the film.
these were the best batman films ever made. i have never seen superhero movies with such a sense of realism. a must buy, it will have you totally gripped right to the end!

its simple, we kill the batman

This film is one of a epic masterpiece. Personally for me i would give it a 11 out of a ten because every moment just kept me watching. This is totally the best film out of the trilogy and the Best batman of all time. There are amazingly, absolute breath taking performances by Christen bale and Tom hardy and Anna Hathaway. The greatest Superhero ever made. Better then all batman movies, superman movies, Iron man movies and other superhero films. I thought this film was better then the Avengers. Brilliant movie mate.
