Academy Award winner Robin Williams shakes up 1965 Saigon in the role the critics agree he was born to play - irreverant, non-conformist deejay Adrian Cronauer. Imported by the army for an early am radio show, Cronauer blasts the formerly staid, sanitized airwaves with a constant barrage of rapid-fire humour and the hippest tunes from back home. The GI's love him - but the top brass is outraged! Riddled with side-splitting comic bombshells and studded with hot '60's hits, the film depicts Cronauer's raucous Saigon adventures and a world gone mad.

Robin williams in perhaps his best film role. The radio sequences are hilarious, and the film has a touching storyline and eye-opening real footage from the vietnam war(shocking sequence half way through 'wonderful world')
Will Always Be Brilliant!!!

No matter how many times you watch this film the jokes still make you laugh.......
All the parts are played superbly and yet through all the laughter and humour, the true message shines through, showing what a mess america got themselves into in Vietnam
A Brilliant film, an all time classic and one of my all time favourites.... A must have
(and for the price can you really go wrong - unless you not English or Spanish : D)

Probably one of Williams' best films, hilarious yet at the same time moving, along with a nice insight into the Vietnam War. Williams' radio sets were improvised, which probably makes them all the more hilarious. Seriously, watch this, you wont regret it
