Both the Diary of Wimpy Kid films are good interpretations from the books a we follow the diaries of Gregg. in the first film Gregg tries to turn his best friend Rowley into Middle School Material whilst it seems he could make some improvements of his own!! In the second film Greggs relationship with his older Brother Rodrick is put to the test. Both films are full of awkward scenes that reflect the anxieties of growing up, especially the problems with families and friends. Both films also have a great feel and a great humour with plenty of laughs for all of the family. Personally found the 2nd film better than the first and am looking forward to the 3rd film!
