Saw this at the cinema It is a lovely film with great animation and voice acting. For Ghibli fans and lovers of lovely tales alike.
Inspired by the book by Mary Norton, Miyazaki along with the Studio Ghibli team give us a new version of the story about the secret little people and the leading character, Arrietty's friendship with a human. The animation is beautiful, the voice acting is great in both the English and Japanese dubs, and there's also wonderful music by French musician, Cecile Corbel.
A lovely mood piece that is supported by great music and sound effects to bring the world of "the little people" to life. This, however, isn't an epic story that features many different locations. If that is what you're after this film may disappoint you. If you're looking for a heartfelt story with great artwork, characters and music than I would recommend you to see this.
