  An Entertaining Movie

Anyone that has seen either Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace will know exactly what to expect here. As with all James Bond movies one has to suspend their belief when it comes to the plot but thanks to some excellent action set pieces and good performances from the majority of its cast this latest movie in the long running franchise makes for another entertaining two hours.

Unrealistic? This is James Bond!

Daniel Craig has confirmed his place as the best Bond since Connery and Skyfall is the best Bond movie for a VERY long time. There is great action, humour and the baddest baddie of them all. Wonderful entertainment and a neat storyline..... pure escapism.... I love it.

No, Mr Bond. I expect you to die

This time, Mr. Bond, the pleasure will be all mine! very simply a fantastic film. ok there are always parts of a bond film that do not always hit the mark with everyone. but all my family and i feel that those involved in making skyfall delivered on what they promised, its style truly captures the British spy, Sir Roger Moore said Craig was the best bond, enough said.

  Simply brilliant!

I've read some of the less than flattering reviews of Skyfall and just had to give my 2 pence.

From start to finish I loved this film. I'm a massive James Bond nerd and have seen every film far too many times for it to be considered healthy!

Some people seem to have an irrational view that Bond shouldn't be blonde haired and blue eyed, to this I'd point out that times change and without a doubt in my mind Daniel Craig is as good a Bond as there has ever been. Having a black haired, darker skinned Bond that fits Fleming's description might be loyal to the books but what current actor can match Craig?

I did love one persons comment about Bond falling off the bridge being unrealistic and how he'd have been dead.... I would remind the poster that we've had invisible cars, submersible cars, flying cars, space stations, lasers galore and God only knows how many implausible gadgets BUT Bond falling off the bridge in Skyfall was unrealistic?!?

People compare the fight style to Jason Bourne. I see similarities undoubtedly but Bond is Bond. He is not Bourne and never will be. Bourne is a very one dimensional character, dull and aside from him being one man against the CIA, FBI and any of the other seemingly useless US agencies what interest is there for the audience? Bond has more depth and personality in his little finger (Casino Royale reference) than Bourne has in his entire being.

The story in Skyfall is one of the strongest in recent Bond movies and the score is fantastic. Each actor is on top form and I praise Sam Mendes for what is an excellent action debut.

I could go on but my wife will probably divorce me if I do!

Long may Daniel Craig be Bond, because 'nobody does it better'!!

Disapointing - to many changes from original Bond, Q replaced by young computer nerd with no sense of humour or gadgets, M, the whole film is centred around Bonds love/hate relationship with M, who is sadly killed off, goodbye Judi Dench and thank you. This film is not a touch on Casino Royale

best ever....you are having a laugh...

Everything was in place to make the third and best film after two amazing films. Casino royale set a bench mark not seen since Goldfinger. Quality not cheap gimmicks. Oh dear, Sam Mendes not only tries to make 007 Bourne, but forgets that people will watch who have watched before and misses the mark in copying old plot lines in tired rehashed rubbish. The final set in Scotland is so poor, you know what is coming and wish for more, even though you know Bond will prevail. Great baddy totally wasted. Am I the only person that wonders that if "the bad guy" can do so much VIA the internet, why would he bother to go all the way to London to attack M in person in a crowded room.????
Good concept, badly executed. Why oh why ?????
Oh yes, if you shot someone there is normally a scar, think about it miss moneypenny... what a major mistake....

  Bourne, James Bourne!

(Contains Some Spoilers) Let me start by saying that this is not a bad movie. One of the main improvements over the previous 2 movies is the introduction and the song, which is a vast improvement over the previous two films, it really felt like Bond. The opening sequence before the intro song also kept you on your toes and at the edge of your seat. The only thing missing from this movie and the previous is Bond's point and shoot at the camera at the beginning.

As the title suggests, the Bond franchise seems to be moving towards this Bourne style action packed movie and in my personal opinion, not doing a great job. The combat in the Bourne movies really grips you and you can almost feel every punch being thrown, the chase scenes feel fast and dangerous and this is where Bond seems to be lacking. I think Bond needs to go back to it's roots, as we're lacking gadgets, bond girls, super villains and the amazing villain hideout where the showdown happens.

The one gadget (well it was a palm reader on a gun but still) he didn't seem to have for long and the Bond girl had maybe 10-15 minutes screen time and even then I think I'm being generous. All the great elements for a classic Bond movie are there spread across Craig's 3 films.

You've got the girl from Casino Royale and the Villain. Then you've got the big base from Solace in the desert and the great score from Skyfall. All your missing in my opinion is the gadgets.

I love Craig as bond, love the new Q and love the new "M". In all honesty though, I liked the new Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner over Skyfall. While Bond tries to immitate Bourne, it'll never work.

Come on, give us a Bond movie with Daniel Craig that we can really be proud of!
