Based on the true life best seller Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi and backed by a dynamic pop/rock oldies soundtrack was named 1990's best film by the New York, Los Angeles and National Society of Film Critics. And it earned six Academy Award Nominations.
Robert De Niro received wide recognition for his performance as veteran criminal Jimmy "The Gent" Conway. And as the volatile Tommy DeVito, Joe Pesci walked off with the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, Academy Award nominee Lorraine Bracco, Ray Liotta and Paul Sorvino also turned in electrifying performances. You have to see it to believe it.

This is one of the best films that i have seen. This is martin scorsese's best film. While you do have to flip the dvd over about halfway through and it is a bit annoying, it doesn't destroy the movie and takes about 20 seconds. A must have
great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Set on the suburban backdrop of 1960's America, the film see's De Niro, Pesci and Liota play brilliant, enthralling roles as 'Goodfellas' living large off the profits of crime. Excellent performances from the entire cast, set to a bristling period soundtrack make this one of the greatset films of the ninetys. Scorese's exceptional directing cements this picture as absolute classic you just cannot miss
