I watched this film years ago and when i saw it on here for 3quid i had to get it...A great family movie..the voiceovers are perfect..animals very well trained..and soooo cute. The plot is family and dogs get separated which leads in to a big journey for pets to get home and what trouble they encounter...you will laugh, you will ooooh and ahhhh, you will sigh and at the end have a lump/tears in your eyes...we always do :) just enjoy the feel good factor.

This film will appeal to anyone of any age who doesn't have a heart of stone. Totally awesome, a movie far better than those that star people. Excellent.

  Disney hits another ace.

If you have ever owned a pet you can relate to this movie totally, the capturing of animal behaviour around humans and amoungst other animals is hilarious. Kids from 1 to 99 will adore this movie as its one of the most funny and charming potrails of a animal adventure. Great fun well enjoyed over and over again.

  Instant classic!

I missed out on this film when I was younger. I have only recently watched this and I must say it is... AMAZING!!
There isn't a film that comes much better than this. For a film from the early nineties, this is absolutely awesome. The photography and cinematography of the three animals is astounding. It is breathtaking when there are scenes of the three animals running through open areas and through rivers - my favourite scene in terms of filming is when there is a chase sequence between the older dog, Shadow and a cougar! Absolutely amazing and for a kids film - I was surprised to find myself on the edge of the seat spurring this dog on... Fantastic!!
The voices of the dogs are truly hilarious - Michael J. Fox as the younger dog Chance is brilliant. The actor who voiced Shadow, the older and wiser dog sadly died shortly after filming this but he adds such charisma and personality to the dog... hey, it brought me to tears at points!
If you have never seen this, I will say to you what my friends said to me when they found out I hadn't seen it - shame on you!! It truly is one of the best non-animated disney films ever created and you will not be disappointed - BUY IT NOW!!!

I hadn't watched this film in years and after talking about 'tear jerking' films I was reminded of this movie. I decided to buy it to refresh my memory and I am so glad I did. It is one of the most heart warming films I have ever seen; the story line is enjoyable to watch, the characters are loveable and the humour is sweet and would appeal to adults and children alike. I think everyone should watch this film and I think there are few people who could watch the whole movie without shedding a single tear!

This is an absolute must see! I'd forgotten how much I loved this film as a kid, Im now at uni and made my friends watch it for the first time the other night, we all cried at some point or other. Unless you have a heart of stone I think it's impossible not to be touched by this film. I'm still amazed at how they managed to get the animals to 'act' so well! Definately buy this, if not for the lovely storyline then to see the talented cat and dogs.
