This is a truly fantastic DVD of a once in a lifetime show. It is totally mindblowing and is like actually being in the audience. Ramin Karimloo made a superb Phantom, as did Sierra Boggess make an excellant Christine. Cameron Mackintosh has certainly pulled out all the stops to put on this lavish production in such a unique and atmospheric venue as the Royal Albert Hall. It is a shame that there is no souvenir programme for this production.

My partner and I were fortunate to have great seats for the Saturday performance of this truly magnificent show. The costumes staging and music were all fantastic. All the cast were brilliant but Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess were in my opinion world class.
If you were there for one of these gala performances at the Royal Albert Hall then this will be a wonderful reminder of an amazing event. This would also make a great gift for anyone interested in musical theatre as it showcases the talent of two of the worlds best musical theatre entertainers. Buy this DVD and you wont be disappointed. Sit back turn off your phone and be transported back to Paris in the late 1800s... Enjoy.

I come from Cyprus and I was very fortunate to see a few shows in London over the years. 'Cats' was the first, back in 1990. Then came 'Phantom' in 93 and 95, one of the best stage productions ever! And the music is so haunting. The original recording is still one of my favorites. Could not believe it when-finally-it's released on DVD. I just ordered it and cannot wait to get it!!!!

My daughter has loved this show since she first saw it, we sat and watched the movie together on my, then, new plasma tv. She was privileged to be part of the production crew, as a lighting tech, on this dvd. She was blown away by the show that night.
As I will be when I watch it...

  Unbelievable EXCITEMENT

I've just seen a advert for this, and can't tell you how excited it made me! I went to see this a few years back in the West End, and it's the best show I've ever seen! The music, the staging, the atmosphere, the characters... just the whole experience was amazing!! Rang my mum to add it too my Christmas wish list, and she was already on it before I even had to ask!

Seriously recommend this, if it's half as good as being there in the theatre, it's gonna be AMAZING!!
