Sean Bean is back as the swashbuckling British officer, Richard Sharpe. In Sharpe's Regiment, Sharpe's and Sgt. Harper return to England to recruit new soldiers for the depleted ranks of the South Essex Battalion. When Sharpe is summoned to court to meet The Prince of Wales, he discovers sleaze and corruption in the highest ranks of The British Army.

Sharpe reports his suspicions, only to find himself and Harper the subject of an assassination attempt. Sharpe and Harper then face a dramatic race against time to prove the conspiracy, during which Sharpe encounters Sir Henry Simmerson's niece Jane, who he has admired for years. She promises to aid Sharpe in his plight. Can Sharpe come up with enough evidence to expose the scandal and also protect his own life?
