Smooth talking ex-lawyer Jeff Winger has got a lot to learn, and he's come to Greendale Community College to avoid every bit of it. Unfortunately for Jeff, he's not the only misfit to enroll here, and people in need have an odd way of finding each other. First, his fake study group becomes a real study group. Then, over the course of a strange year from Mexican Halloween to the final "Tranny Dance" including bad trips, great debates, drunk dials, food fights, epic paintball battles and sinister chicken finger conspiracies, the group becomes a family, something Jeff never wanted, but clearly needs. Starring Joel McHale (The Soup), Ken Jeong (The Hangover) and Emmy Award winner Chevy Chase.

it really surprises me that Community season 1 as not been released on dvd in the UK yet as it as been around seens 2009 and been aired on the UK tv channel viva saying that im really surprised it as not been snapped up by E4 and after you watch the 1st few episodes you will be thinking the same, awesome cast featuring Ken Jeong (Hangover 1 & 2, Knocked Up, Role Models) and Chevy Chase who as the best one liners to keep you laughing for days, all in all i kind of see this tv show as a new school saved by the bell but much much better.

The best comedy show since Arrested Development

If you haven't seen Community (which is very likely due it being aried over here on Viva at 1am) then now is your chance to see one of the funniest shows ever to cross the atlantic.

Community is a very unique comedy with is use of pop culture and it's parodies that make it really stand out. The first few epsiodes of the show start off fairly slow, but after once it gets going you'll get some of the best episodes of any sitcom you'll ever see. The paintball episode is an absolute master piece and is probably the one to check out on Itunes if you're curious about the series. Physical Eduction is also a stellar episode.

Amongst the Smartest and Funniest Comedies Ever Made

Set in Greendale Community college Community centres around a group of seven misfits who at first have nothing in common other than the fact that they all in Senor Chang's Spanish 101 class yet, despite their contrasting personalities, they soon form a tight knit group.

For me Community, with its mix of oddball characters and self-awareness, can be most closely compared to another excellent sitcom in Arrested Development. As with Arrested Development this first season does take a few episodes to really get going but, once viewers become familiar with the characters, it is rare that an episode fails to deliver plenty of laughs and any film/TV nerds like me will just love episodes like 'Modern Warfare'.

With such attention to detail every episode can be enjoyed over and over again as each time you will spot or pick up on something you missed the first time around. I hope Community stays around for as long as possible.
