If I had a quid for every time I've seen this film, well, I would be rich. It's such a good film and hilariously funny, I don't even particularly like golf, but this film is still a classic for everyone. The only cringe-worthy moments have to be the obvious 'lump' in Chubbs' arm where he is clearly holding his fake hand. Otherwise, great great great!
wow this movie actually wants me to play golf its so good, basically it is about a guy that wants to be a hockey player but sucks. He soon finds out however that he is an excellent golf player and when tragedy strikes with his mothers house being dispossed he begins to enter more and more tournaments to buy back her house. However it is not that easy and there is a twist at the end of the tale that really sets the movie on fire.
The best movie I have ever seen without a doubt and its a bargain
Adam Sandler is truely hilarious in this story about helpless Happy Gilmore, who was "put on the Earth for one reason, to play hockey". But his true calling call is long drives with a different club, in golf. With Happy somehow appearing on the US Open, the script writes itself with ridiculously funny moments with his terrible tantrums and his violent outbursts when the "ball doesn't wanna go home". An absolute must for true fans of Adam Sandler and any slapstick comedy, or hockey stick!
