So here is where it all began... The matrix world.
This is the original and first release of the matrix on DVD. Full of extra's although not as definitive as the other matrix DVD release's, the follow the white rabbit you can put on during the movie takes you to the how they did that for that scene.
The premise is simple, the real world we live in is a fake. A computer Generated Hoax to keep us from going mad. The real world is ran by the machines, who use us as there power source.
Mr Thomas Anderson - A hacker going by Neo feels something just isn't right with the world and is approached by Morpheus who brings him into the real world.
Teaching Neo 'Kung fu' he believes Neo to be 'The One' - the one who will end the human/machine world and free everyone from the matrix.
This movie is the truest part of any first part of a trilogy. Dealing with Birth and awakening. The subsequent sequals dealing with live and finally death.
From its extremly clever slightly green tinge to all scenes filmed inside the matrix, to its oft copied, groundbreaking visuals known as bullet time this movie was and remains ground breaking in every respect.
Stylishly shot, brilliant costumes, and full of fantastic lines from Morpheus.
Back before the Sequals the conspiracy theories running from this film kept the net very busy.
Fight scenes are excellent and again, it was from this film that movie stars realised that the viewer really wants to see them up close in breath taking fights. Reeves, Fishburne and the rest of the cast are uterly believable in their death defying running up walls, leaping between buildings and the gun fights.... Incredible
"What you trying to say, that I can dodge bullets"
"No, in time you won't have to"
