In the spring of 1980, the port at Mariel Harbour was opened, and thousands set sail for the United States. They came in search of the American Dream. One of them found it on the sun-washed avenues of Miami... wealth, power and passion beyond his wildest dreams. He was Tony Montana. The world will remember him by another name - Scarface!

Al Pacino gives an unforgettable performance as Tony Montana, one of the most ruthless gangsters ever depicted on film, in this gripping crime epic inspired by the 1932 classic of the same title.

What more is there to say about such an ICONIC film.
If you have seen it, you know the score
If you haven't then you need to get into the game.
This is one of the Best, most Violent and Edgiest Gangster movies made.
The story is Epic and Tragic in equal measures.
The performance from Al Pacino is right up there with his performance in The Godfather. Al Pacino just becomes Tony Montana.
In Fact after watching his performance in The Godfather and then in Scarface, you can clearly see the reason the guy is an Acting Legend.
The rest of the cast are also well cast, and Michelle Pfeiffer also gives a stunning performance.
A MUST MUST MUST Watch for any self respecting film fan.

very intense movie that grips you by the throat: to personalise the american dream so perfectly well and yet fall so low. creepy. also the paranoia that splats from the screen in the second part of the story, is very uncomfortable to watch: "just don't do it this time", was a thought that struck my mind a few times (but then, nevertheless: he did).
you can feel from the start that this has to end bad, but this knowledge doesn't spoil the tension or the story. it just makes you wonder: how long will he last and how bad will it be.
the finale is a real climax and a raw piece of apocalypse: a one man army against the rest of the world.
a must see.

Realistic portrayal of a cocaine kingpin

A stunning success of scripting, tension and subtle but effective use of dark brutality. Stone and De Palma have created here a captivating story following the struggle and eventual toppling of a Cuban political prisoner who succumbs to the lure of the American Way. His dreams of power and respect surpass him in his bid to be successful and rejected by his mother and later his sister you can sense that it is already too late and the evil and greed of the drug trafficking has embodied itself in Montana (Scarface). A lot of people will pick up on the heavy swearing and extreme violence but these are beautifully intertwined with long acts of suspense and beautiful story telling which makes the journey a peak and trough of light and dark, which makes the violence even stronger in context. My all time favourite Pacino movie.

Al Pacino at his best. He plays Tony Montana a guy who works his way to become a drug lord. Great acting from Pacino, and Michelle Pheiffer who Montana steals from his boss (Great move!) Awesome locations throughout the film, great acting and the story keeps you hooked throughout. Good music score as well. Great end scene ''SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!''
