It doesn't get much better than this. This is a perfect film in so many ways. The feel of Elizabethan London is there so that you can almost smell it. Painstakingly and perfectly reconstructed. The Globe theatre perfectly presented. he script is intelligent and very humourous. The film offset by the academy award winning musical score. Fine performances from all the cast not just the main characters but all the camero parts as well which read as a whos who in British Comedy.
Bristish comedy actors meet together with the cream of classical British theatre and an American thrown in for international appeal in the shape of Paltrow. It can't fail and it doesnt.
A must see.

A masterpiece of movie making. The film embraces you into the world of the Bard. It is not a film you just watch, you become involved in the wit and drama of the plot.
The script is masterpiece and the actors make the most of it. As usual Judy Dench steals all the scenes without even trying. A great film well worth a view.
