A sexy summer weekend turns into a blood-soaked nightmare for a group of college students hunted by voracious underwater predators in Shark Night, a terrifying thrill ride featuring a red-hot young cast. Arriving by boat at her family's Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara (Sara Paxton) and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik (Sinqua Walls) stumbles from the salt-water lake with his arm torn off, the party mood quickly evaporates. Assuming the injury was caused by a freak wake-boarding accident, the group realises they have to get Malik to a hospital on the other side of the lake, and fast.

But as they set out in a tiny speedboat, the college friends discover the lake has been stocked with massive, flesh-eating sharks!

Shark night is rather an entertaining horror film that delivers the basics in story, character development and predictability, this is a very easy on the brain slasher flick B-movie style with sharks, the college kids all get eaten and torn up one by one as the plot unfolds, there is not allot in the way of gore but theres plenty of great scare moments and bloody deaths, this is pure popcorn fun for anyone, the effects are pretty good and the sharks all vary in size and species, this is all very far fetched but very entertaining which at the end of the day is what this type of movie is all about.

 It's no Jaws but..........

So what did you expect from the director of Final Destination?
It does as the title suggests it's got Sharks it's at night and was in 3D. So we get some blandly attractive teens on vacation encounter a hungry,craft,co-ed chomping shark. It may lack Jaws's dread, brilliant acting and don't go in the water paranoia, not to mention class and 2010's Pianha's gleeful mayhem, but for all it's limitations there's still enough gore, giggles (mostly unintentional) to satisfy for a bit of guilty pleasure mayhem.
As said it's no Jaws, it's not even Jaws 2, but it's still better than Deep Blue Sea.

I loved this, everything worked, excellent cast, excellent killer sharks, and excellent picture quality, so many films promise you everything and never deliver, but this 100% does. If you loved Deep Blue Sea, then you will love this even more. Killer Shark Movie at it's Best. 10/10
