This film was so boring, I kept loosing interest and getting distracted. The storyline is terrible.

After watching the first silent hill movie - also based on a game, I had to see this one and for me it definitely lived up to my high expectations! It really captures the horror that is in the video game. The story line is brilliant, it makes sense, it keeps you in suspense and its quite fast paced so if you're someone who gets bored easily, you'd be pleased! This film is completely unique, I've never seen anything like it, even the monsters are unique! I'd recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good horror that isn't the usual girl running from a killer cliche!

I was really looking forward to this as i loved the first one, but it's dire. Parts of it actually contradict, or at least, clash with the first (why, if alessa is so important, did they bully and abuse her so much as a child? you wouldn't do that to someone who you needed so much) A whole religious order, different from the first, was suddenly created, but was meant to have been there all the time, and it all just clashed. Nothing made sense, the monsters were pointless, (in the first they had some logicv behind why they looked as they did) it was just a big snooze. in many ways it was the first one redone. Instead of exploring a hospital for Alessa, 'Sharon' is exploring a mental asylum for an old man. nothing new on offer.

The original silent hill was a brilliant and near faithful conversion into a movie with a great story and a very freaky and nightmarish visual concept that a lot of horror movies lack these days making it a rather original and very enjoyable romp, revelation is part two of the story set several years later with several characters returning, the story I thought is a good direction to go and it carries on the nightmare very well with a quality budget of spooky dark visuals like the original had and some cool new monsters as well as some of the classic ones from the original, silent hill has some unfinished business to take care of, if your a fan of the original you should really enjoy this for what it is, it has had some very negative reviews which are undeserving, its not a masterpiece but its by far not the worse film this year! Great fun check it out!!!

If your a fan of the games. Don't watch this movie.
It's terrible.
The games have gone downhill since Silent Hill 4 and even that one wasn't great.
This movie has terrible acting and actors. Nothing fits. Nothing works.
Very Disappointed.

The first Silent Hill movie, is worth watching.

being a huge silent hill fan i paid to go see this at the cinema was excited waiting for the scares to come thick and fast even thou the first never had that i thought maybe the second would learn from the mistakes, oh how wrong i was i was nearly asking for my money back as this was a truly awful film and would recommend buying scooby-doos zombie island before buying this the plot is dreadful and the monster in it are actually quite laughable and thats me being nice in short do not buy this movie and with blockbuster going into administration i dont need to warn you to waste your money on renting this abomination of a film.

Revelation captures the atmosphere of the games perfectly.

In the first film the daughter Sharon was throught to be dead with her mother Rose. Her father Christopher whom was acted by Sean Bean seemed to be the only survivor. Sean Bean replaces his role and he tries to give his daughter a normal life as possible after the horrific events of the first film. They keep moving from town to town and changing their names but Silent Hill wants Sharon back!
The unstoppable Pyramid Head is back and so are the blood thirsty nurses which are ready to operate on anything with a heartbeat. There is a new evil in Silent Hill which wants Alessa out the way and Sharon holds the key that could unleash this evil. There are many new monsters for you to enjoy in this film, which has the most unnerving music and sound effects. In fact I jumped out of my skin a few times and found the story most engrossing. I thought the first Silent Hill film was very good and as I'm a big fan of Silent Hill 2 on the (PS2), I'm very pleased to say this film is just as good and even more gruesome and creepy. The film ends with a stong possibility of a third film in the pipeline.
