The Gruffalo's Child

The Gruffalo's Child has the same wonderful actors do the voices of the different wildlife such as Rob Brydon as the Snake, James Corden as the Mouse, John Hurt as the Owl and Tom Wilkinson as the Fox. The story of The Gruffalo's Child has been a childrens favourite for many years now and the computer animation is just as excellent as the first film but like the book my six year old daughter does not enjoy this story as much as the first one. My daughter said to me "daddy I don't want to buy The Gruffalo's Child when it comes out on dvd". I think the main problem is none of the animals from the first film had such good lines or action scenes as the first film and because you have already seen them before they were not so intriguing either. So the The Gruffalo's Child is a good film but not a must have like the first in my families humble and honest opinion.

I agree with the other reviewer. The animation is amazing and I love the snow and wood scenes. However the original characters aren't in it that long and don't speak as much. Because of this my daughter doesn't watch it as much as the first one (which is also an excellent film). However both my wife and I prefer this one... maybe because we prefer the music and we prefer the snowy scenes.
