What a Fantastic TV series. A gripping final season from Sam & Al. Most notable episodes Lee Harvey Oswald 1 & 2 & Goodbye Norma Jean. Look out for special guest stars including Brooke Shields & a pre-Friends Jennifer Anniston. The Only blotch is the final episode which leaves you with un-answered questions. Otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars. Still worth seeing ....even though you feel slightly abandoned at the end!!

Filming was complete for the season when NBC cancelled.
As Mirror Image had not been aired, but had been shot, they had to quickly re-edit it to end the series.
Phoneix26 : 'Sam never returns home' is NOT, I repeat NOT just a writers-block 'cop out'. It was all they could do with such a small amount of time before airing.
It is entirely the fault of NBC. Check your facts before making such claims. There are plenty of websites out there.
Rant over.
Having missed most of this season when it was aired, I was delighted by the "Trilogy" episodes and "Evil Leaper"
Zoe was wonderfully evil and camp. Brilliant villain.
I will not deduct any stars for the last episode as it was not the fault of the writers, producers, directors ect, but the fault of the network that aired this great (5 Emmys and 2 Golden Globes) award winning series. Talk about nuts. (oops. Ranting again)
A great buy at a great price.

Top 100 DVD Reviewer

The final, season 5 Quantum Leap is to me just as good as the other 4 seasons, 22 episodes that at the end leaves you thinking will there be another season? Will Sam ever leap home? Gripping just like the first episode was this is a programme that people will always remember and talk about - and if you own the other 4 seasons this is a must have at another bargain price! Nice one Play.com a bargain!
