Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogan team up to beat the odds in a laugh-out-loud comedy.

When 27 year old Adam (Gordon-Levitt) gets a devastating diagnosis, he navigates the road to recovery with the sometimes overbearing support of his crude best friend (Rogen), his smothering mother (Angelica Huston) and inexperienced therapist (Anna Kendrick). Inspired by a true story, 50/50 is an honest yet hysterically funny account of a young man's journey towards healing.

This is actually a wonderful and touching story of friendship and one person dealing with cancer and all done quite tastefully considering its very funny and does fall into the comedy section, Seth Rogen is great as usual as the comic relief and Levitt is fantastic in his role too and both bring some good laughs to a sensitive subject, the movie does have its touching and very serious moments so dont expect to be laughing all the time, this is a well made film and is really worth checking out.

this was my favourite film of 2011, it was very funny and deeply moving. its a film which makes you really care for the characters and isnt afraid to show you their flaws...
it is a film that has plenty of laughs but never in an inappropriate way. im someone who loves a depressing, unhappy ending in films but when i was in the cinema i didnt want to watch it till the end, but only because i didnt want to see the outcome in case it was sad ....thats not a spoiler by the way

Gets the perfect balance of emotion and comedy!!

50/50 shouldn't really work, a cancer comedy might turn some people away but don't let it! This is a great film that has a ton of laughs but not inappropriately, the comedy in the film is done very tastefully! The emotion is also a key aspect of the film and it delivers, a real tear jerker of a film but well worth it! Great acting, great film! Really good watch, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
