Doctor Who: U.N.I.T Files Box Set (3 Discs)

Wow, that's the best that they could come up with for UNIT? Lame, uber lame, this should have been a huge box set. Don't get me wrong I love the dinosaurs story but to only have it with a story (and not a very good one) that is already available, staggering lack of imagination. 2/5 Could do better.

Here we have two top Doctor Who stories in one boxset.They maybe ones not everyone remembers but they are top ones. 1st the Invasion of the Dinosaurs episode 1 has now been colourised some other sites are confused over this but trust me you can watch it in B&W or Colour. The other is The Android Invasion.The last time U.N.I.T were regulars in the show. Shame. The best thing for me is the best assistant the Classic Who ever had Miss Sarah Jane Smith played by the late Elisabeth Sladen ( all Who & SJA fans will miss her ). These stories are when the Doctor ruled Saturday night. A must for all Doctor Who fans new and old. The Special effects by today's standards are not good but with not much money it was a top show with top story writing so well worth buying. Enjoy.

I was looking forward to buying Invasion of the Dinosaurs - but imagine my dismay to find it coupled with a story I have no affection for at all. Why couldn't the BBC have issued it separately?

I have waited so long for Invasion of the Dinosaurs to come out on DVD hoping that they would re-create the Dinosaur scenes with CGI like they have done with so many other titles. Instead we are lift with the super imposed chewit plastic dinosaurs that we used to place on the top of our pencils and keep in our pencil cases for swapping with our classmates????? Why why why, so disapoining. Come on boys do the CGI dinosaurs and make it look believable please. I give 2 stars based on the fact i liked Andriod Invasion as well but if left upto Invasion of the Dinosaurs I would rate a big fat zero...Anyone wanna swap me a T-Rex for my Triceratops? I have two in my toy draw lads lol.

Pertwee and Baker and Sladen! A 6 parter and 4 parter thats a massive 10 episodes for such a small price tag. Each story is fun my fav being android invasion as its very much like invasion of the body snatchers. What about Invasion - well its a great story and one where you can tell Mr Pertwee is having lots of fun even with the funny dinosaur special effect that was ok for television 1974.
Loads of extras as per usual and not one ounce of melodrama that is ruining modern Doctor Who stories ( 2011 - Christmas Special - utter pants lol). Get the classic better written Who and give yourself a real treat maybe the Moff Man needs to get back to basic before he ruins the new version of a classic programme,
