A solid farewell to a series, and a sad farewell to Elisabeth Sladen. Generations of Dr Who fans mourned her death, and these episodes show her at her best - no slowing down, and still giving her all until she could do no more.
Like many of her fans, old and new, I shall be getting this with a heavy heart, but also celebrating the life of Elisabeth Sladen aka the Doctor's Sarah Jane.
Goodbye Elisabeth, rest in peace.
So spoke David Tennant's doctor at the end of School Reunion. This is a fitting end to this series and to Doctor Who's BEST companion EVER!! I've just watched the extras on this and cried like a baby with pure nostalgia. To see all these people sharing their memories and reactions to her death. Totally heartbreaking!!
I am a school teacher of year 5 children so I remember her from the original series but I do remember actually having to comfort my children after the news of her death as she died during the Easter holidays and they were just bereft.
Thank you BBC for giving her the opportunity for a great series and just Thank you Liz for the BEST creation. My recommendation - buy this DVD watch it and weep at the extras -I did.
And of course LOVE IT !!!
