A ghost-hunting reality TV show crew arrive at an abandoned psychiatric hospital where unexplained phenomena has been reported for years. Locking themselves inside the building for the night they begin a paranormal investigation, capturing everything on camera. But they quickly realize that the building is more than just haunted - it is alive - and it has no intention of ever letting them leave...

This will be their final episode.

An ok attempt at the footage found sub-genre that is painfilly false and horribly derivative. I was really looking forward to this after seeing the trailer online (like many of you) but they should have left it at that. Obvious and cheap this could have been a great horror, but poor realisation and directorial niavety kill the buzz. A few descent jumps and good ideas don't save this from horror mediocrity. A shame. Try 'Evidence' a better attempt by far amd more entertaining.

 Best horror

Ok so I've seen a lot of horrors from classics like Halloween to cheap under budget horrors and this by far is the best I've seen. It takes a lot to scare me an the only other movie to do this was paranormal activity 1 . Grave encounters scared me on a whole new level. The plot is bizarre but who watches a horror for the story to make sense anyways? It's all about being scared. I had to pause the movie half way through to calm down slightly and there are some very big jumpy scenes. I would recommend this to viewers who generally want to be scared out of their minds but would advise parental control due to gore and very scary scenes.

 Good Stuff!

Grave Encounters is a good horror in my opinion. I nearly jumped out of my skin at those creepy ghost characters! Good storyline, okay ending, but could have just made the jumpy moments more frequent to get a 5. Good film, especially considering the genre of the 'hand held camera' is exhausted now and the sheer amount of similar films!

 Worth the one watch

Good film but it is one of them films you can really only watch once to get the scare from it. Might get abit of scare from if you wait a year or more to watch it again
