What a fantastic film, as a young lady of 23 i found this film brilliant!! The cast is just the best of british, the setting is magnificent and the writing is genious. The characters are very capturing and the storylines are interesting!

Tears of both laughter and sadness, some very heart warming moments, brilliant film :)

When I sat in the theatre I saw only eldery people, so my friends and I thought I picked up the wrong film, well NO ! this is for young people ! Because only experienced people can teach young to never give up !

this film is so good and uplifting that I went to see it 3 times before i bought it on dvd. there is also a deeper insight into all the characters, and life in india. i just wanted to book my room and go!

Really is a good film - India comes alive. The Actors are brilliant and each one has a real personality and gives their role 100%. As a feel good film this is top.

quite enjoyed this film, parts were a bit boring and film could hav been made shorter but was an alright feel good film. the type of film u could sit down and watch with your mum after sunday dinner!! :o)

What a great British movie.
You could not have had cast the film any other way.
I loved Maggie Smith And Penelope Wilton characters they are brilliant as are all main characters.
The one liners by the cast are so funny and keep you laughing. Although in places predicable, this is a good feel good movie any and all can watch.
I can recommend this movie to anyone such a good buy I give it

Maybe I expected too much, Great reviews, great cast, great idea. But for me it fell flat. It had some humour, but hardly hilarious. This kind of film relies on a deep understanding of the characters background and relationships So you can see how they change and develop but this was brushed over quite quickly. It could have been set anywhere as there was no real interaction with the locals, they didn't help them, muck in or get to understand them. I felt the whole film was rather disjointed, not funny enough and lacking depth and empathy. If I hadn't read about it and so expecting more, I may have enjoyed it more.

This film is a 'Must See' it goes without saying that the film is a brilliant comedy, but the film gives much more. There are moments of great pathos played out with sadness and much laughter by a superb cast.

It goes without saying that the fine cast made the film captivating to watch and it is not possible to pick out any of the stellar cast members over the other. However, a special mention has to made of Dev Patel. It would not be the same film without his magical performance.
