Pixar Animation Studios, the creator of Toy Story 3, whisks you away on an astonishing adventure to an ancient land full of mystery and tradition. Bursting with heart, unforgettable characters and Pixar's signature humour.

Take a heroic journey with Merida, a skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the unruly and uproarious lords of the land. When Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos in the kingdom, she must harness all of her skills and resources - including her clever and mischievous triplet brothers - to undo a beastly curse before it's too late, and discover the meaning of true bravery.

Set in Scotland and based mainly on Princess Meridar, who is set up to marry one of three Princes. However, she has other ideas and looks for ways to escape the future Marriage as her Father the King dreams of revenge on the bear that took his leg.
This is a well made film with great graphics and a good story suitable for a kids film. Theres a good pace and lots of action and is a suitable length to hold interest in younger children. Theres also some famous and good voice overs. Theres a few of the usual cliches you see in kids films but overall its a good family film that will probably appeal more to young girls.

 Pixar can do no wrong.

Take no notice whatsoever of the 4 and 5* reviews - this film is far from that.
This is a POOR effort by Disney/Pixar's usual standards. Normally the characters and story are well worked, but here it seemed like they couldn't be bothered.
I wasn't drawn into the story; I didn't care about the characters, especially the mother. It wasn't funny and it wasn't moving.
This pales in comparison to similar cartoons, for example 'How to Train Your Dragon', which poops on it from a great height, like... well... like a dragon pooping on a bear.

 Another great film from Pixar!

I am in love with Pixar and their movies and have bought Brave as the latest edition to my collection.

This film in particular I find very different to all the others Pixar has come out with, being set in Scotland and having some history put into the movie makes it more realistic than the others, such as Toy Story and Cars. It's a great movie to watch with the family, it has highs and lows and it'll make you laugh. I recommend this film and any film that has the word 'Pixar' on it, because you'll know it'll be a great family movie.
