  too many arguments

| | See all eyespy's reviews (16)

Season 1 was much better than season 2, i wish tho the main sheriff character would make his own journey and not mix up into a group of argumentive individuals that became into some soap opera in season 2. I found season 2 far to long winded with arguments with each other and found some of the zombies acting better than the live characters. Has for losing the little girl, u would thought they check the barn first?

  A slow burning zombie epic...

| | See all roberto009's reviews (91)

As much as the season started off slow boy did it pick up at the half way point, just one of the best seasons of television seen anywhere.

I don't understand why people are complaining that it was too slow and nothing happened; its called tension for gods sake, building it up before finally kicking off. People just expect full on action from the word go just because its about zombies, weve got all the time in the world for that its tv show they can go on for years with the right amount of viewers, its not just a zombie show its a show about the human race, how people react in desperate situations, how something so devastating can either make or break you as a person. Shane this season perfectly exemplifies this the dramatic change in his personality by the end of the season is as though hes turning into a monster just like the ones they fear.

Once your past the midway emotional climax things start to rally up into on of the most exciting season finales setting up the events for the long awaited season 3 (confirmed to be 16 episodes long). Simply one of the best shows to grace television of recent years i hope the Walking Dead sticks around for as long as possible.

  HOW SWEET FRESH MEAT!

| | See all MovieAddict's reviews (1336)

The Walking Dead is one of the best horrific drama's ever to be shown on TV, the carnage is on an epic scale that surpasses it's TV origins. This is a much bigger season as Fox invested more money after the huge hit of the first season. This picks up directly after the first, but now the strains in the survivors group starts to show and loyalties get divided. The centre of the story revolves around a missing girl and the safeness of a farm. With this being a much bigger season the pace is slower, but this is a good thing as the characters get more time to breath only to be killed off in a startleing
matter of fact way. The survivors have to kill the living to protect the secret of the farm and the small matter of what's in the barn push the rag tag team to the limits leading to a spectacular ending leading us to season 3 that looks like it's going to up the ante further.
This is an outstanding Zombie epic.

Is the "Walking Dead" now as lifeless as the Walking Dead?

| | See all DavidM1969's reviews (6)

Season 1 was an outstanding collection of great individual episodes that had me hooked from the start. This season 2 has been a terrible let down. Ok it has it's dark moments, some of them fairly shocking but in general, it is way too drawn out and sometimes it's easy to forget this is supposed to be about zombies and not a marriage/friendship in crisis! The writers need to look at what made season 1 such a hit and go back to that formula or else they'll soon be out of a job as this series is going downhill rapidly. Stop focussing so exclusively on love triangles and have more zombie threat in each episode, just enough to keep the blood pumping. C'mon writers, you had a great formula once, and I'm sure you can rediscover it.

  A Great Addition

| | See all Yazzmin's reviews (5)

After having seen the first season, I was left so excited to see the follow up with the second season. Whilst this season was absolutely brilliant, it was slightly drawn out, with a sense of repetitiveness (compared to season one) - A 9/10, but you do have to push through the middle few episodes - However I promise you, the ending is worth the wait.

  Has me gripped!

From series 1 episode one this programme has had me gripped! I get post Walking Dead blues after each episode has finished! As for the 'slower episodes' I think they are vital in the series to build the characters and allow the audience to connect. If it was all go every episode then it would become silly and unrealistic. Thoroughly thoroughly enjoy each and every show. CANNOT WAIT FOR SERIES 3!!!!! Agdhfjgksjdbfns will totally be buying series 2...... When the price has come down a little ;-) x

  first class drama

| | See all atthemovies's reviews (112)

excellent season 2, have always been a fan of zombie films made by the master george romero, cult classics that were strictly for fans. it was a brave move when seaon 1 appeared, a mean how many people would tune in to watch a series with zombies?the producers knew this hence they tested the water with just 6 episodes, it took off proving a huge sucess both sides of atlantic and season 2 arrived ,13 episodes violence and character study. i agree with other critics that feel certain characters were sidelined too much to allow the sub plot story of the sheriff and family to much air time but thats a small gripe. great ending to a great series. roll on season 3.

  A Triumph

| | See all paddythedog's reviews (3)

The Walking dead series 2 was, in my opinion, fantastic. The plot has a fantastic and shocking twist, the rivalries grind on, and a lot of walker blood is spilled as the group struggles for survival. My only criticism is that my favourite characters did not get enough screen time ( Daryl, T-Dog etc.) a wonderful series, and i reccomend you buy it.

  absolute badass
