Forrest Gump (1 Disc)

Coming up to nearly 20 years and this film is still a brilliant experience.
The story is unlike any other story told, and it is told with a big Heart, Excellent Performances and some very deft SFX.
Over the years the film has become a bit of punch bag for being cheesy, corny and a bit soft.
And also because it beat Pulp Fiction to the Oscar for Best Picture, and even though I think Pulp Fiction is Excellent and better than Forrest Gump, is it not better to enjoy and appreciate both movies, rather than saying I like only this one, and the other one is rubbish.
Overall it is a movie to Enjoy as you watch this wonderful story take on a life of it's own.
Obviously it has it's dark moments but is ultimately an inspiring story.
Tom Hanks in the lead role fully deserved his Oscar win. The rest of the cast and director also do a fine job.

Forrest Gump is without doubt my favourite movie of all time. I am rarely one to watch a film more than once but I must have now seen Forrest Gump at least 5 or 6 times over the years. Tom Hanks is at his brillaint best as the title character and it is a credit to the rest of the cast that they are not completely overshadowed by his performance.

At times this movie is able to make you laugh one minute and almost cry the next ("I miss you Jenny"). A must see.

What can I say that's not already been said. Tom Hanks gives a performance of a life time, which I have to say is probably his best in his career so far. From the start right up to the very end this will have you drawn like a moth to a flame, from laughter and hardships to sadness and pain this film has it all, which is extremely powerful that touches the soul of any individual that watches it. The music score is fantastic that really sets the mood for the film. It's definitely a tear jerker so have the tissues at hand. This film should be on the shelf of everybody's film collection.

I first saw this film a couple of years ago and thought it was funny enough said. I watchedit again today and it meant so much more. This is a really deep film it made me quite emotional showing a true sense of a mothers love and the true meaning of freindship. It makes you think and also is really funny. Its about a stupid but really nice guy played by tom hanks who is an amazing actor in this film, who jus goes through life with a sweet child like innocense. You gotta watch this especially if u watched it as a kid it will be better viwing again as an adult. Happy viewing.
