This film looks great and plays great. It has a great story and keeps the kids entertained while giving the adults a fun time too. The film is perfect for a family night in on the sofa with some popcorn and snacks. The jokes for kids hit the mark and the subtle ones for the older viewers are spot on too. The characters in the film are very well voiced and the production values here are faultless. This is a labour of love and from a studio that is yet to have a film panned that is a very high bench mark indeed. The film is very simular to the incredibles and less like a Ratoutille, there is no toystoryesque sugar here just a fun, fast, clever and above all entertaining movie wrapped up with brilliant presentation and flawless execution.

Best Pixar Film Ever !(until they made Wall-E)

I really enjoyed Cars from an adult perspective. The colours and animation are unbelievable, right down to the last detail. There are many clever effects in the film, some of which are used to show emotion by the cars- you have to watch it to see what I mean- for example using the break lights and the car lock sounds. The plot overall is great and heartwarming. Lightning McQueen- the main race car character, is voiced by Owen Wilson, who I think did a great job. When he accidentally gets lost out West in a small backwoods town, he meets the locals of Radiator Springs and soon makes many friends and doesn't want to leave- all the while he nearly misses the biggest race in his career but shows up at the end to save the day. The film has a really good ending and will be enjoyed by kids and adults alike.

Cars is a fantastic addition to the incredible library that is Pixar. Admire the shimmering metallic paint of the cars, the NASCAR-like race at the opening of the film is as exciting as in any recent action flick, and the great palette of colors throughout the movie, mostly visualized through the landscapes and little town of Radiator Springs. Pixar films have always been about the story first, and Cars is no exception. All of the cars have personalities and are characterized to perfection. The voice work from all the actors is fantastic and Lighting McQueen (Owen Wilson) does a fantastic Job. I was laughing throughout the film espically with the cow tipping.

  One of the best!
