Famous eighties acting duo Corey Feldman and Corey Haim team up in madcap teen comedy Licence To Drive.

Les's friends are relying on hi to pass his driving teat so he can provide the wheels for the weekend, but he's more interested in impressing his date Mercedes (Heather Graham). When things don't go according to plan he steals his grandpa's immaculate Cadillac. But what was supposed to be a dream date soon turns into a nightmare when Mercedes gets drunk, dances on the bonnet in her stilettos, then passes out in the back.

He calls his friend Dean for help and things go from bad to worse when the car is towed and a car chase leads to disasterous consequences.

If like me in 1988 you were a teenager watching the Coreys Haim and Fieldman re-team after The Lost Boys, then you'll remember License To Drive with very fond memories with it's hot cars, hotter girls girls and super cool parties and B I G hair. Leave it that way, as athough now is still funny and enjoyable., having a bequiffed, open- mouthed Haim trash his grandads car while trying to impress a young Heather Graham on a date now plays like a idle star vehicle built from the best bits stolen from Ferris Bueler's day Off, Risky Business and Adventures In Babysitting. It's obviouse it's going to be dated, but now best seen as a retro trip. License To Drive now is not bad, but it's not Superbad either.
