Slow plotline, weak jokes make this almost unbearable. If you like this kind of black comedy, stick to Braindead and Bad Taste.
One Joke, they are killer sheep, that's it...

Firstly I have to say, the comparison to Shaun of the Dead on the cover for this film is VERY miselading. Shaun of the Dead was well scripted with numerous classic references and satyrical humour. Black Sheep on the other hand just couldn't contain anything especially funny in the scripting at all. Once you get past the joke of the fact they are Killer Sheep, the film has past it's peak. There have also been a few references to Peter Jackson regarding this film, this would span about as far as some of the special effects which are decent and the fact it's in New Zealand. If you want to pass a couple of hours and just like gore then go for it, if you're a movie lover I would look elsewhere to be honest.

This film is truly brilliant, i went into the cinema with very very very low expectations, mainly due to the fact that a was having relationship problems. But after about 2 lines of the film, i was too busy laughing to care about anything. Fantastic story, fantastic one liners, brilliant stupidity. The perfect film to watched when you don't wanna think much, 5 stars, no doubt
Not funny!

I tried really hard to enjoy this film, but it really wasn't very good. The jokes were poor and few and far. Most of the time I was bored. The premise was good (zombie sheep) but it really didn't work - If you want to see a comedy zombie film watch Shaun of the Dead, instead.
omg ultimately the most rubbish movie EVER!!!!!

It's american werewolf but with sheep oh and not in england , when it starts it has a kind of low budget b grade horror but it soon picks up pase . The visuals get better as the movie goes and the skript is a giggle , good cast and filmed in the way you would expect , tongue in cheek. The transformation in the barn of the big weresheep( ? ) is as good as any i have seen in a horror flick , in all a good romp not very funny but i dont think it was made for everyones humour . There is another aus/newzealand film called undead , zombies and funny the two are on a par and well worth a watch .

I watched this film in the cinema and i didnt think much but some of my mates thought it was good and are going to get the DVD.
If i was you i would rent this film first because its one of those films you either like it or you dont
It also comes accross as a cheap budget film.

I'm not sure if other reviewers were watching the same film, it should have been really funny - but it just wasn't. It felt like a real waste of time watching this .. there are much better films out there.
Gory fun

What is it about sheep, they seem nice dozey wooly critters, but under it there always seem to be a darker element where they know allot more then they let on!
Black Sheep is a great little no budget bit of horror comedy from New Zealand. and it makes way for a entertaining enough 90 minutes, but I was slightly disappointed with it. The film thinks it's funnier than it actually is, and the film never is scary( how could it be?) so I never felt 100% satisfied.
But with this slight gripe, how many films out there give us chance to see man eating sheep and even a human sheep hybrid "The Weresheep"
Not a cult classic or anywhere being as good as Shaun Of The Dead, but entertaining enough.
Any fan of Peter Jackson's early movies such as Bad Taste or Brain Dead , will enjoy every blood stained moment!
