I thoroughly enjoyed the first two films, and whilst this is by no means a disasterous end to the trilogy it was certainly the weakest of the three. There is a reasonable plot, great characters and some fantastic special effects, but it is all just too drawn out. By about two thirds of the way through, the slow pace was beginning take it's toll and I was losing interest. Fortunately, at this point the film went into overdrive, with the remaning 45 minutes more than making up for it - the climactic sea battles are truly impressive by any standard.
It's a shame, there really is no excuse for the poor pacing of the early film - the first 90 minutes could easily have been halved with no loss of coherency. Still, it does redeem itself to a degree, and is certainly not as bad a third outing as that met out by the hugely disappointing Spiderman 3.
Amazing!

I have yet to meet a single person who doesn't like this film or indeed the trilogy. Definately a must see for anyone. My siblings, parents, grandparents and mates all loved it.
