The trailer looked good to this and Russell Crowe is great, but I wasn't sure what to expect. The early scenes in London were done quite well and were amusing. Then as soon as the film moved to France and the lovely characters are integrated, the movie got even better. I liked everybody in it, but Russell Crowe and Marilyn Cotillard were a fantastic couple. Add a sexy Abby Cornish and a happy ending, and I will look forward to watching this a few more times.
great movie - makes you want to move there!

Lovely story - fantastic scenery - takes you from the hustle and bustle of London's square mile and all the "cameraderie" involved (and I jest there!) to the tranquility and beauty of France, to a life we would all aspire to. When can I move?!!!

It's that transformation we all seek. From the harsh unpleasantness of business life in England to peaceful tranquility of the French countryside. An involving story packed with strong characters and class acting. Russell Crowe steals the show by demonstrating a more sensitive side to his acting than we have come to expect. Marion Cotillard adds the romance with her 'will she won't she' character and seals the feel good factor at the end of the film with her commitment to Crowe. Albert Finney is Albert Finney exactly as we have come to expect him bringing an extra touch of traditional quality to this spell binding production. If you have a heart, watch it!
