Kevin Smith is a genius. I was a little disapointed with the first Evening With but Kevin Smith was amazing in the second installment. He is far more confident and speaks his mind with conviction. I really wish he would do more of these Evening With nights in the UK.

Being a huge fan of Kevin Smiths work I could not wait to see the second live show. It is worth every penny, especially seeing as it is two live shows and about 4 1/2 hours of greatness (+ 1/2 of that is him in england!)

The one thing that I must warn people buying this is, if you have not seen evening with #1 you might miss out on some good jokes from mentioning subjects from the first show like the Prince and Tim Burton incidents.

If your looking for a stand-up comedy this isnt what you'r looking for, it may of been me not reading the discription correctly but ah well, this dvd has a few good laughs but its more of a stand up interview, the audience ask kevin questions and he replies sometimes funny sometimes not.
i guess it depends what u like in stand up comedy.

This DVD is a must buy for any fan of the legend that is Kevin Smith, a great insight to the world of the big man, and as if that wasnt enough its funny and witty to.

On top of this you get to see two extra features involving Jason Mewes trying his chat up lines on British chicks.

I give it a 5* rating because I was actually there on the night. There is a lot missing on the dvd but that's understandable but what's on here is brilliant and Kevin got his wish of it not being "so much the sausage-fest" the last one was lol.
If you loved the first Evening With you shouldn't be disappointed with this one.

(ps I'm the first chick to ask him a question and cant stop giggling at his replies so embarrassing lol ... couldn't help it, I'm a raging fangirl.)

Following the hilarious first evening with Kevin Smith DVD I expected more of the same here. However, the first DVD is the highlights of numerous talks whereas this appears to be the highlights of just 2 talks and while it's fun and does contain some laughs, it just falls a little short of the first dvd.

Still if you like laughing at a fat guy reeling off embarrasing stories (in front of his Mum) then give it a go.

Kevin Smith for those who don't know is the director/writer behind: Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks II... oh yeah Jersey Girl is in there too but even he seems to admit many won't have seen that- blame Bennifer.

The man is also Silent Bob, so this is a rare glimpse to see the man talk, however once you get Kevin Smith going he won't stop.

The format is just like the original Evening with Kevin Smith DVD he made, basically he tours around to anybody who will listen to (and pay) him- he's on stage and ready to recieve questions, no matter how intimate from his fans.

If you liked the first EwKS DVD then this is a great buy, Canada and England serve up some great questions and Smith replies with some great answers.

I got the impression that there was a lot more swearing in this DVD than the last one but it rarely detracts from the humour level. Many stories are followed up from the first, with new ones including how his daughter sees Jay and Silent Bob as Daddy and Uncle Jay, Nightswimming (hilarious) and shooting his wife for Playboy.

In short, you will most likely like this DVD if:

+ You have seen and enjoyed any of his more popular work
+ You want to know more about the fat guy in the coat
+ You enjoy a good story- in the end that's all it is, a series of anecdotes.

You might want to avoid buying this IF:
- You are offended by strong language
- You can't take potty humour for what it is- a joke
- You are unable to listen to a story without picturing every detail... this is more cautionary than anything, some mental images may scar you!

If you haven't looked at the first DVD I suggest you buy it over this one, despite this one being absolutely hilarious you need the first to understand a couple of stories in this one- and you shouldn't miss out on the story of Dogma's protest.

It's not for anyone, but like a lot of Kevin Smith's stuff he remains down to Earth, making these things for himself and his fans- if you like his movies you'll most likely love this DVD.
