One of the finest insights into the devious and dangerous world of Tudor/elizabethan England, where even living a blameless life was no guarantee of political, religious or personal safety, whatever your status. Skirts around More's police work on behalf of the established Catholic religion, but shows the quality in his speeches of a determined and conscientious lawyer and Counsellor. Human tragedy, greed and lust and More's faultless logic played with great conviction by a wonderful actor.
