This is the first film tht truly freaked me out . The story is set in a mansion in which around 6 women are celebrating xmas . They then start to recieve truly terrifying phone calls which really give you the shivers . It is then that the some of the women go missing and the body count starts to rise . The ending is superb especially when the cops trace where the calls are coming from ... Wor of warning be a bit more aware when you enter your loft you never no wht you might find !!

Black Christmas (1974) is a true portrayal of horror that will grasp you and shake the life out of you. Although it is not a commercial film, rather a dark and selected film, it does have a star-studded cast, including Olivia Hussey, Margot Kidder and John Saxon. As you would notice, horror these days cheaply relies on immense blood and gore to scare people, but Black Christmas is a very intense classic thriller...
A group of girlfriends are having a Christmas party at their residence, when suddenly they start to receive obscene phone calls from a stranger...these phone calls start to result in many deaths...some of which are not revealed for a long time. This was one of the original films to use the chilling 'phone-calling' that has been relit in today's horror films. So who is making the phone calls? To find out, stay real close to your phone and watch...Black Christmas.

Up until i saw the adverts for an alleged re-make I had never heard of this film, so when I heard it was on TV over Xmas I just had to see it.

Wasnt really sure what to expect but after watching I was highly satisfied with the Chilling tale of Christmas Terror.

Film is over 30 years old and for its time was particulary "close to bone" in certain sub-plots for its time but they are all played out brilliantly.

The phone calls are absolutely freaky and definate had me spooked. The film is 100 mins long and plays out brilliantly in between kills and calls.

Not much blood and guts but they were not required as the suspense kept you on edge of your seat waiting to see what happened next.

Ending although slightly disappointed as to no backround to the killer but the rest of the film was A+
