I've seen this film come under a fair amount of criticism, and it makes me wander what people were really expecting. It was only ever going to be a feature length Simpsons episode, and if you go in with that in mind you'll love it. The film provides all the characters and gags you could want (except a distinct lack of Mr Burns?) and gives enough new visual tweaks to make the leap to the silver screen that bit more enjoyable. Certainly worth a look if your a fan.

This is a brilliant film to watch. It is very funny. I like the part when they are in the church.Its worth watching it.

I found the film to be just like an episode of the show, but longer.
If you like the Simpsons then you will like it, but i think that some people have thought that it was going to be like a big blockbuster movie, but its not like they can throw more money in for the stunts or get massive A list stars without changing the normality of the show.
There's the usual laughs that you get in the show and thats all i expected really!

the simpsons series is quality and the movie was good too, just wasn't as funny as the series, and it's really something you could only watch 2 or three times, but i give it a four, because it is a good film but some fans may be disappointed, overall it's satisfactory

Yeah there are some good parts in it however they're few and far between. Also there are so many thing that arent right. The most stupid part was to be continued....immediatly what was the point? Also this film had so much potential but the execution wasnt good.
I dont know if you dont want to see a good series fail on the big screen steer clear.

I also am a huge Simpsons fan and I could watch 48 episodes in a day if I could.... but this movie was just terrible.... I was really looking forward to it too.... it's a real shame but that's just my opinion as it's clear many others love the movie.

As does everyone else in my house, vintage reruns we've seen 100 times before are still as funny and fresh as ever.

But my god this film was a chore to watch 127min run time and I think I laughed twice.

Dont listen to all of the other reviews!!!!!!!!! i almost never laugh out loud when watching a movie but this is hilarious where there were many occasions where i was rofl-ing and lol-ing. its easily the 4th funniest film that ive ever seen ( afta the austin powers trilogy) some ppl say its just 3 simpsons episodes put together with no story but who cares. you dont go 2 see the simpsons for a story, you watch it 4 a laugh and whats wrong with 3 episodes strung together!!?? i definite must buy for any dvd collection

When you bring a TV series to the big screen, it's a big gamble. Both South Park and Beavis and Butthead have pulled this off beyond expectations, unfortunatly, The Simpsons has run its coarse and to be frank, it's just not funny anymore.
The only thing thats funny in this movie is Spider-Pig, thats it!

The biggest problem is that none of the characters are true to what they were in the TV series. Bart likes Ned Flanders? Lisa aggressive? And the biggest surprise, Homer's stupidity has just gotten annoying, every time you see him or he says something, all you will be think is "Man, I wanna punch him in the face!"

Overall, save your money and if you want something funny to watch there's Futurama returning, Family Guy and South Park are still around! Take your pick!
