An original European animated feature film, Terkel In Trouble broke all box office records when released in its native Denmark. It has now been re-voiced for the UK featuring some of our best known and brightest up-and-coming comedy talent - Bill Bailey, Ben Bishop, Olivia Colman, Adrian Edmondson, Toby Stephens and Johnny Vegas.

The most irreverent, anarchic and politically incorrect film of the year, this is the story of Terkel (Edmondson), a nerdy teenager whose life is no picnic. Terkel's mum (Colman) is about to marry his dad, and she's too interested in the wedding, fags and kinky sex to pay attention to him. He's fallen out with his best friend Jason (Bishop) and his psychopathic Uncle Stewart (Vegas) has just pasted two of the class bully-boys who make Terkel's life hell. His teacher has met with an untimely death and her replacement Justin (Stephens), is an animal loving, guitar playing, tree hugger - the girls love him! Fat Doris is the only one to love Terkel unconditionally, but to curry favour with the bully-boys Terkel has turned on her with disastrous results. Meanwhile, Terkel has started receiving mysterious death threats. Terkel's in trouble, and his life is about to get even worse!

The English version has been adapted by BAFTA winning UK screenwriter Mark Burton (Madagascar, Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit; Have I got News for You) with lyrics by song-writer Willie Dowling (Snow White - The Sequel) and produced by acclaimed film-makers Michael Rose (Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit) and Martin Pope (Heart of Me, Lawless Heart).

Was unsure about this movie when it first came out.
Rented it just so I could say I had seen it. But had no idea I whould be entertained so much or even have an ending I could not quite see coming.

 The way animation should be

Funny, irreverent and just a little bit shocking Terkel in trouble is the perfect antidote to all the saccharine animated films you watched throughout your childhood. With storylines recognisable to anyone who remembers school as a battleground and the very definition of peer pressure Terkel is a must-see for claymation afficionados. Nick Park - pay attention.

Not bad you will love it or hate it!
